CNS and Addictive Disorders

Central Nervous System consists of the brain and spinal cord which is affected by some neurological conditions that are associated with substance use disorders. The CNS gets speed up or slow down by the mind-altering drugs and the drugs also affects the autonomic functions necessary for living, such as body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure and respiration. The brain’s neurotransmitters or chemical messengers get affect by this addictive substance. The nerves in the mind are anticipated by the addictive drugs by stashing dopamine a joy chemical which affects their CNS normal function.
