Mental Health, Trauma, and Addiction

Mental health disorders and addiction frequently coexist, creating complex clinical and social challenges. Trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and chronic stress are major contributing factors to substance misuse and relapse. This track focuses on integrated approaches to dual diagnosis and trauma-informed care. Experts will discuss the psychological roots of addiction, emotional regulation, and resilience-building strategies. Sessions will also address stigma, suicide prevention, adverse childhood experiences, and culturally sensitive interventions. Emphasis will be placed on holistic recovery models that combine psychotherapy, medication, peer support, and behavioral therapies. The track encourages interdisciplinary collaboration among psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and addiction counselors.
